Web Services is a division of the Computer Services Center (CSC) and is responsible for the design and maintenance of the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø homepage, secondary pages and most departmental and office pages. For many people, the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø home page and its associated web pages are the first point of contact with the University. The quality of electronic information published by 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø is important in maintaining the strong reputation and image of the University. Information on the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø home pages is subject to the same policies and standards as print publications. The 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Web Policies set minimal standards to ensure that information published electronically is accurate, visually appealing, clearly presented and follows the same high standards as other forms of published information about the University.

The Web Services team is responsible for the design and maintenance of the top-level web pages that provide general information about the University, index, directories, search engines, and menu pages with links to departmental or organizational unit pages. Web Services also designs and maintains web sites for other 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø organizations. Web Services maintains the 91³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø Web Server (www.southalabama.edu) that hosts many of the web sites of the University.
